Series notes

A scientific expedition sets out on a yacht in the Atlantic Ocean and encounter a strange green cloud in the area of the Bermuda Triangle. They end up stranded on an uncharted land mass and find themselves in an alternate dimension where past, present, and future are all intertwined. Soon a group of five people is formed who travel through different vortex portals to try to find a way home.

This narration was added to the opening credits starting with episode 5.

Lost in the Devils Triangle, trapped in a dimension with beings from the future and from other worlds, a party of adventurers journey through zones of time back to their own time. Varian a man from the 23rd century possessing awesome powers. From 1977, Fred a young doctor just out of medical school. Scott Jordan a 13 year old son of a famous scientist. Liana, daughter of a Atlantean father and an extraterrestrial mother. And Jonathan Willaway rebel scientist from the 1960s. Together they face the frightening unknown on The Fantastic Journey.

The Fantastic Journey TV series did not do well and was canceled with only 10 episodes. The complete series was released on DVD in Australia on June 28, 2019 by Via Vision. It is NTSC format and the region code is such that it plays on U.S. DVD players. .

Synopsis: A group of people sailing the Caribbean are shipwrecked on a mysterious island that defies identification. They meet Varian, an individual from the 23rd century, who had been passing himself off as a primitive Indian. Then they find themselves captured by what appear to be sixteenth century privateers.
Notes: This episode was 90 minutes and was continued in the next episode.

Synopsis: The travellers find an advanced city called Atlantium, whose citizens promise them a way home via a time machine. But first they must contend with the Source that is a master brain which controls all around it. The Source is in need of energy and Scott is singled out as the supply. While there they meet a beautiful half alien/half human woman named Liana.
