Hiya, how u's doin? I'm from Scotland, U.K. and I was really impressed with your website! I would just like to say that there are a lot of Young Indian Jones fans out there all over the world, hehe! The show was aired in sweden around 1995. Back then I was like 10 years old.
Caught a rerun this morning and I got flashbacks from my childhood. :) I can't remember that it was this good...

Hi folks!
I chanced on a YIJ episode on offpeak TV here last year and became an instant fan! I'm keen on history and really impressed by the range of real characters, the accuracy and intelligence with which the people and periods are depicted, and of course the swashbuckling and fun!
When I told a pal I'd been watching a series in which the hero drinks and talks with Sean O'Casey, is in Dublin during the Easter Rising, hears Sylvia Pankhurst speak in London and meets up with a pal at Princeton called Paul Robeson, he gasped. And gasped again when I told him this intellectual fare was Young Indiana Jones! Funny thing is the programmes seem to have had little publicity here, and get shown at odd times like Sunday mornings when you're not expecting anything good. (Then at peak viewing times we get the dumbed down stuff and really boring programmes on housebuying and DIY)
The series has started airing again here, again at odd times, and last week I enjoyed the agony and hilarity of Indiana's efforts to get a phone so he could be a spy in Prague. When he stumbled into the wrong office and met an industrial accidents investigator ready to help him take on bureaucracy, I knew it had to be Franz Kafka, the episode could have been written by Kafka himself! Maybe with help from Buster Keaton or Chaplin on the visual gags. Well, I'm keen to find out more about who did write the series, and what episodes to look out for that I've missed. So I did a search and found your site, which seems just the treat.
I'll be recommending both the programme and your site to more friends. And telling the teachers among them they oughta show it in schools.

THE YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES is an extremely well-made television program and the best ever to appear on TV. It saddens me that the majority of the public was too ignorant to appreciate its educational values, which resulted in the show's death from low ratings. I am glad someone put up a website for it. I have read rumors that a young Indy theatrical film might be made based on how well the upcoming DVD set sells and whether or not a fourth Indiana Jones film is made with Harrison Ford. Lets all hope.
Starting in the summer of 2002; I acquired and watched all 12 of the available episodes. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Now, when I sit in the library at my high school across from the biography section, I can glance at various books and say to my friends: "Albert Schweitzer, young Indy met him in the Congo in 1917," or "Manfred Von Richthofen... he shot down the plane that young Indy was performing photographic reconnaissance on in February 1917 and then Indy had lunch with him and gave him the idea to paint his plane bright red." These comments annoy my friends, but that doesn't really matter since I have so few. This show deserves more appreciation from the public than it has received, and yes, I do have to grudgingly admit that Indiana Jones is not real. Gosh dang it!
