Hello Fellow OLers,
Great to see this site and giving methe opportunity to thank the team of Stevens and Stefano and Frontiere for putting out the Shakespeare of Us TeleSF,and from the 1980s viewer's guide by Chow and Frentzen, putting up with harsh treatment from the Newtork.
We get the original series up here at the Saturday 1700 hrs SPACE slot. Had SPECIMEN:UKNOWN today.
Give the series credit. It made monsters or evil presences out or normally benign objects like the alien flowers here and the rocks from CORPUS EARTHLING.
Must congratulate the MGM/UA home video folks for the DVD set from the 63/64 season.
WOuldn't you know it. I get this set to see the series that would wind up being aired like it is every Saturday!!!!!Although the second season was a bit wonky, thanks to the unecessary changes wrought by ABC,it would be good to see it also on dvd,so that we can once again BEHOLD,ECK!!!
Will wish an early happy 40th birthday to the parent series and now I return control of your website to you until next time,etc......

I just purchased the First Season of the Original Outer Limits on DVD and I was very impressed with the overall quality and presentation of it. 27 hours of some of the finest entertainment ever to air on TV. I heartily recommend this to any fan or Sci-Fi enthusiast.

I, too, would love to have Quality of Mercy and The Light Brigade on a single DVD. I think Quality of Mercy is one of the finest Outer Limits episodes in the history of the show. I was very disappointed it wasn't released in DVD format when the other 2 DVD sets were released.

I am 47 and a fan of (among other film /TV interests) classic STOP-MOTION monster movies....and the original OUTER LIMITS series (of which my favorite episode is "The Architects of Fear" /1963). Possibly one of most understated published features on the original TV series was the FIRST cover-article ever published on the TV-series in a national magazine- Famous Monsters of Filmland #26 (September, 1963); an article which also featured photos, info and promo-art on the then-new series, in stark contrast to the almost non-existant coverage then by such publications as "TV Guide", etc. As for the 1990s series, i like several episodes, but for this new century and a more sophisticated viewership, the old, continually over-used (and silly) story formulas of time-travel and evil aliens, etc, no longer have any relevence or believable logic, and (aside from simple, enjoyable entertainment) only serve to damage the potential such a show could have to make people think more seriously about present ILLOGICAL social directions and LOGICAL social solutions to our most pressing problems; when was the last time the new OL addressed (perhaps by an 'alien visitor'?) the total immorality of wealthy America and Europe letting thousands of children suffer from hunger, child labor and disease in "3rd world" countries?, or of STILL actively supporting abusive child labor practices, worldwide?.... - Paul Merrill

I loved this series before Scifi got their hands on it. That is typical of anything dealing w/ Scifi. I liked Poltergeist the Legacy and Sliders before Scifi got their hands on those as well. Does anyone have copies of two eps in their original Showtime state "The Inheritors" and "In Our Own Image" (I'm also a Nick Lea fan, can'tcha tell?!). I've been looking for these everywhere and was hoping that they would release these on DVD or VHS or something soon. I don't like them airing on scifi and in syndication cause they cut so much out. Here's to hoping. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

My Mom and I used to watch the 60's series when I was a teenager. My favorite was "To serve man" or was that Twilight Zone? Please don't groan so loudly OL fans. But I'm a fan of both. I also love the new OL'sbut since I don't get the Sci-fi channel I watch on channel 58 in Sacramento.--channel 2 on my cable station. I love, love, love, OL! Always have and always will. Now that I have found it on channel 58 I will set it to record every week. If it was at all possible I would love to have every episode of the 60's and 90's series. The last show I was a true fan of and actually got involved in trading tapes of episodes was the 90's t.v. "Beauty and the Beast". My teenage (at the time) daughter got me involved and we even went to a convention. Didn't go to any more because some of the fans were so rabid and were definitely IN the twilight zone. Great site and great show (OL that is). P.S. What do you mean OL is cancelled? Are you serious??!!!!! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
